The Optimal Trade Entry zone is the band between the 61.8 and 78.6 percent retracement of an impulse leg. Retracing that deep puts entry close to the origin of the move, which allows a tighter stop and therefore a larger reward-to-risk ratio if the move resumes.
This is the single most expensive misunderstanding in the whole framework. A zone is an area of interest. Price arriving there tells you nothing about whether it will react — it tells you price arrived. Entering on arrival is how traders end up right on direction and stopped out anyway, repeatedly.
Price must trade into the zone, and then a lower timeframe has to confirm with a displaced break in the intended direction. Only then does a zone become a quotable entry with a stop that means something. Before both conditions are met, the honest answer is that there is no entry yet.
Our engine will not quote an entry from a 4H OTE zone until the lower timeframe walk — one minute, then five, then fifteen — confirms with a displaced break. Until that happens it states what it is waiting for rather than showing a price. The refinement anchors to where the zone visit started, not the last touch, because the last touch leaves too few bars to detect the confirming break.
